Many people opt for a 50 minute sports massage to keep themselves ticking over. As always, this is an appointment tailored to your body and its needs. Dry needling and cupping may be used, if seen as appropriate by your therapist, and as long as you feel comfortable with it.

This is wonderful in the colder months! Bamboo massage uses heated, smooth, solid bamboo sticks to work on large muscle groups to soften the tissues first, which makes deeper work more comfortable. You will also be laying on a heated massage couch to retain that warmth. Mel will use deep tissue and some sports massage techniques as well as the bamboo to bring ease to your tension.

Looking at the body as a whole, this appointment is a thorough deep release. Your therapist will look at your movement patterns, range of movement and fascial restrictions. Your treatment will be guided by information gathered from yourself, the assessment, and your therapist’s intuition. After your session, you will be offered a refreshment and some time to re-coup after your massage. Please allow 90-105 mins for your treatment.

This is a short, targeted deep tissue or relaxation massage for people who want to feel better without using their whole lunch hour. Mel works on the area that is bothering you most - often neck and shoulder tension, tension headaches, hands and wrist tension, or that “I’ve been staring at a screen all morning” tightness.
It is a 15 minute taster if you are new to massage, and a practical option if you work at or near Basepoint Business Centre and need a quick reset before you go back to your afternoon. You stay clothed or lightly draped depending on the area treated, and you can be in and out within a lunch break.

BEST IF: you are not sure which treatment to book, your needs change from week to week, or you want a therapist to assess and treat rather than pick from a list.
